Frequently asked questions

We get asked alot of questions – see if yours is below before you contact us.

What do I do when my child has their first lesson?

Send your child to the changing room and make your way poolside. Please make yourself and your child known to one of the teachers and let them know they’re here for their first lesson.

When the whistle blows to indicate the start of the lesson, a teacher will call your child over and direct them to their lane. Don’t hestite to talk to us if you’ve any concerns.

What should I do if we want to leave?
Please email the session coordinator with a brief explanation of why you are thinking of leaving, as it may be something simple we can change to accommodate you staying.  Should you decide to leave we ideally need a months notice. So, if you give us notice on the 1st of July, you will need to pay July’s subscription and are then free to leave on the 31st July. Your child can still swim in the notice period, providing the fees have been paid.
Why is there so much paperwork to fill in?
To comply with ASA (Amateur Swimming Association) rules and regulations all of our swimmers need to be registered to swim. All paperwork needs to be returned by your childs third swim with us. If, after the 3rd swim, we have not received all the paperwork, your child will not be allowed to swim with us due to insurance purposes. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated to ensure there are no interruptions to your childs learning.
